Travel time: All year round. From October to April, tropical temperatures around 30 C dominate the picture in Rio and the south. In our summer months, the northern beaches between Salvador da Bahia and Fortaleza are a good choice. If you want to travel to the Amazon region, the months May to October are recommended.

​Safety: I mostly walked around Rio and never felt unwell. Just avoid dark, unlit areas, social hotspots and leave your jewelry as well Valuables in the hotel. I only had the cash with me that Iabsolutely needed.
